Zanpa Beach

Impressive at this resort beach. Bathers flock to the beach with beach parasols in the summer, and enjoy all sorts of marine sports. Visitors can signup for a jet ski ride and glass boat tour at the beach house, which also lends out deck chairs and parasols. The beach adjoins verdant Zanpa Cape Park, suitable for family outings with athletic facilities and a BBQ ground. At the end of the beach is Zanpa Cape.

Ikei Beach

Ikei is a flat island 7 kilometers in circumference linked to Miyagi Island by the Ikei High Bridge. As soon as you cross the bridge you come to Ikei Beach. The beach has exceptionally fine white sand and crystal clear water, very popular for swimming and camping, especially because you can swim here even at low tide. Ikei Island is Yonashiro Town’s major tourist point, brimming with tourist attractions and marine sports. A major east coast resort hotel is here as well.

Chatan Park Sunset Beach

As the name Sunset Beach suggests, the place offers an impressive view of the flaming sunset painting the sky and the sea in red. Another draw of the place is Mihama American Village located nearby, with many unique restaurants, shops, a movie theater and a Ferris Wheel. Take a detour from shopping and enjoy a scenic stroll along the beach. How you use the beach is entirely up to you – beach party for some and nap under a tree for others.

Araha Beach

This 600-meter long beach is situated inside Araha Park in Chatan Town and is always crowded with local families and groups. A full-size sailboat that sits by the beach makes a fantastic playground for children. Beachside promenades and a luxurious field are also well maintained.

Naminoue Beach

It is located only 15 minutes away from Naha Airport, and you could very easily make a quick stop for one last swim before leaving Okinawa. Facilities like changing rooms and lockers are fully equipped, and you could even walk to downtown after your swim. The beach is also used by locals, particularly at dusk and dawn, for it is a place of recreation and relaxation for families and elderly citizens. Stop by at night for wonderful night scenery.

Azama SanSan Beach

Beach house features a red-tiled roof, has a shower room, lockers and other amenities to secure your comfort, and is barrier-free (i.e. wheelchair accessible bathroom), thereby accommodating the disabled. The long stretch of white-sand beach, highly transparent sea, and a field on the premises all make up a perfect location for family outings. Barbeque equipment rental is available. Ama Beach

Furuzamami Beach

Furuzamami Beach is situated ten minutes by car from the port, on the far side of an eastern mountain. The pure white-sand beach is exquisite with its graceful, curved lines of true beauty. The stones at the bottom of the sea and its depth make the beach a suitable point for snorkeling. And with possible diving entry from the beach, Furuzamami is also a popular spot for discoveries of beautiful coral reefs and charming tropical fish. Aharen Beach

Stretching on 800 meters, Aharen Beach is a white curved beach with an impressive coral reef and a high degree of water transparency. With parasol and other accessories that can be rented at the entrance of the beach, the area transfigures in a unique southern island paradise rich with a fun atmosphere.
