Hamahiga Island is connected to Henza Island by the Hamahiga Bridge.
With a circumference of 7 kilometers and a hilly terrain, the island has two villages Hama and Higa. People who live on the island work in farming and fishing, while traditional architecture such as red tiled roofs and stone walls still remain. It is also a popular fishing spot.
