NAHA Marathon
NAHA Marathon

The NAHA Marathon began in 1985 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of a sister city relationship between Naha and Honolulu, Hawaii. It is a major event that can be called a winter feature of Okinawa. It is a full marathon race that allows runners to enjoy landscapes representing Okinawa, such as the Peace Memorial Park and Kokusai Street, along the 42.195 km course. Another attractive element of this race is the people cheering on the sidelines. Local people volunteer and hand out sweets and beverages, adding a family-like atmosphere to the event.

*Please note that marathon course roads will be closed on the day of the race.
*Please check the official website of the NAHA Marathon for application dates and other details.
