Regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
As Japan’s state of emergency declaration has come to an end, Business and tourist attractions in Okinawa are slowly restarting operations.
In order to prevent the spread of the COVID 19, Okinawa Prefecture continues to ask for the cooperation of citizens of Okinawa and six prefectures (Hokkaido, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Fukuoka prefectures), which have just lifted restrictions and state of emergency, to refrain from unnecessary travel, follow thorough infection prevention measures when traveling to and from Okinawa and the remote islands within the prefecture, and to confirm the latest information of the destination.
For information regarding visiting Japan, please check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan’s website for the latest updates on access restrictions.
We stand as one to combat the current COVID-19 pandemic. Our priorities here in Okinawa are to protect the health and safety of everyone on the island.
