Before dawn on October 31, 2019, at least seven buildings, including the Seiden, of Shurijo Castle, an Okinawa landmark, completely burned down due to a fire. We have received many words of encouragement and proposals of support in response to the fire. These are some of the projects and fundraising activities extending both within the prefecture and across Japan.
Researchers and students in the fields of computer vision, human computer interaction, and virtual reality together with engineers launched OUR Shurijo as a project to reconstruct Shurijo Castle through 3D models.
The following projects have finished. We thank everyone for their warm support.
